Love it a Latte!

With a warm and modern ambience, this contemporary kitchen is all about creating interest and texture through layering soft, neutral and organic materials to create a cohesive and calming atmosphere. This kitchen design includes 3 different cabinet door styles and 2 different finishes, complete with luxurious fixtures & hardware, panel-ready appliances, quartz countertops & backsplash, and a large, central island for meals and entertaining.

Red oak was selected for its prominent grain and was accompanied by a soft “Latte” stained finish for the base and pantry cabinets. The base and wall cabinets are finished with a contemporary narrow-rail “Lichfield” shaker style door, while the fridge panels and adjacent symmetrical pantry unit are complete with modern “Urban” slab doors in a horizontal grain pattern.

The wall cabinets and custom decorative range hood are finished in a warm, “Classic” white-painted MDF. The cabinet hardware is a combination of sleek black Berenson tab pulls and Belwith Keeler “Channel” appliance pull handles. The kitchen countertops are finished in an understated white & gray veined quartz, which extends up the wall for a 21-inch high accompanying backsplash.

The large, central island is equipped with a built-in beverage center, double-drawer dishwasher, custom microwave drawer appliance cabinet, and a waste bin pullout cabinet. Not to mention island seating on two sides and additional cabinet storage underneath the countertop overhang, which mimics the false door panelling installed at either side of the island. The sides and back of the island are finished with a contemporary, square-profiled kick for a built-in, furniture look.

The coffee machine appliance required a deeper cabinet opening, which offered an opportunity to balance the visual weight of the space and add some interest with the addition of a glass door wall cabinet. The narrow rail black metal doors work to simultaneously play off of and tie in the other black accents & finishes in the space, while also providing an area for displaying decorative items or everyday tableware.
