[Bathroom vanities](https://www.deslaurier.com/en-ca/learning-centre/how-much-do-custom-bathroom-vanities-cost) certainly aren’t a one-size-fits-all element of the home.

Unlike the kitchen, which is a more universal space focused on meeting the needs of the entire family and entertaining guests, bathroom vanities often deserve a more personalized approach.

Bathroom vanities have the unique ability to enhance the home by tailoring the design to the primary users. This includes selecting the [perfect height](https://www.deslaurier.com/en-ca/learning-centre/how-to-choose-your-bathroom-vanity-height), depth, and functionality.

Whether it’s for the powder room or the master bath, picking the right vanity sink can be a trickier decision than you might expect.

At Deslaurier Custom Cabinets, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with the knowledge and expertise to create the perfect designs. While we focus on functional and high-quality cabinetry, we know there is much more that goes into a successful kitchen or bathroom project than just cabinets.

With that, this article will recommend 5 of the best locations in Ottawa to buy a sink for your bathroom vanity.

Let’s get started!

## Top 5 Places to Buy Bathroom Vanity Sinks in Ottawa

At Deslaurier, we know there’s much more to a home than just cabinetry. We pride ourselves on our ability to offer our clientele as much information as possible, for every room in the house.

Shopping for sinks in the bathroom isn’t quite the same as picking one out [for your kitchen](https://www.deslaurier.com/en-ca/learning-centre/how-to-choose-a-kitchen-sink). For instance, you’re more likely to consider a vessel sink for your bathroom vanity than you would a popular kitchen staple like a [farmhouse](https://www.deslaurier.com/en-ca/learning-centre/learning-centre/review-farmhouse-sinks).

That’s why we’ve put together this list of the 5 best places to buy bathroom vanity sinks in Ottawa!

While there may be some overlap with the best [Places For Kitchen Sinks in Ottawa](https://www.deslaurier.com/en-ca/learning-centre/where-buy-kitchen-sinks-ottawa), you’ll want a supplier that has the knowledge, and selection, to provide you with the best sink for your bathroom vanities.

To that end, all the companies in this article were chosen based on their industry experience, services offered, and google rating.

***Please note the companies listed below are in no particular order.***

## Buying Bathroom Sinks From Big Box Stores

At Deslaurier Custom Cabinets, we know that there’s not a one-size-fits-all mould when it comes to crafting the perfect design.

You can absolutely buy your bathroom sinks from large home improvement retailers like Home Depot, Lowe’s, Rona, or IKEA.

Box stores like these buy in bulk to offer lower prices. That can be a pro (you can keep your costs down) or a con (the company's focus may be on moving inventory).

If your bathroom has standard-sized vanity cabinets, and you aren’t picky about your sink choice, a big box retailer would certainly have a bathroom sink for you in-stock.

On the other hand, if you want the perfect sink for your unique bathroom vanity design, or have [custom-sized cabinets](https://www.deslaurier.com/en-ca/learning-centre/learning-centre/how-much-do-custom-cabinets-cost-breaking-it-down), going with one of the local bathroom sink retailers listed above will benefit you with their industry knowledge and specialized inventory.
