This traditional kitchen design by Deslaurier design consultant, Darien Wilson, is living proof of the power kitchen renovations can have!
The original space was a fraction of the size, but after knocking down many walls and re-configuring doorways, this kitchen came together beautifully. Opening things up allowed room to include both a central island and a peninsula, which add function and allure to the space.
Deslaurier's "Brookfield" traditional shaker-style cabinet doors in MDF are painted in a timeless "Classic" white on the perimeter walls and "Bishop" black on the island, creating a classic tuxedo two-tone cabinet design.
A remaining beam on the perimeter wall was seamlessly cladded in quartz making for an extra detail that subtly catches the eye. Supplied by Urban Quarry, intricately patterned Cambria "Hemsworth" quartz countertops and accompanying backsplash put the finishing touches on this classic black-and-white kitchen design.
