Design Consultant Ottawa, Ontario
The designer’s primary functions are cabinetry sales and customer service. Essentially, the designer is responsible for working with customers to establish floor plans & layouts, coordinating cabinet, door, hardware and countertop selections while assisting them with appliances, flooring selections, etc. It also includes educating them on the order and installation processes, and the completion of accurate paperwork to meet customer’s expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Meet the budgeted sales goals while providing exceptional customer service.
- Discuss with the customer their needs, wants and design ideas, including assisting them with selecting suitable products (i.e., wood, MDF, thermofoil, countertops, hardware, etc.)
- Create preliminary designs, layouts and floor plans using 2020 design software
- Provide pricing information to customer using 2020 design software and negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Perform all onsite field measurements and be able to anticipate and resolve site condition issues
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork using 2020 design software for the submission of the work order
- Provide constructive feedback and ideas to management
- Continuous improvement in product knowledge, and design trends and order accuracy
- Attend the monthly sales meetings and the annual sales conference

Design Support Specialist Ottawa, Ontario
We are looking for someone to join our Design Support team in Ottawa. The purpose of this role is to assist our Designers in building and growing a network of clients through inspired design and exemplary service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generating quotes and/or estimates for new prospective clients and/or builders
- Drawing and costing out kitchens, bathrooms, etc., using 2020 software provided by DCC
- Assisting where necessary on the GOHBA Housing Design Award entries such as CAD layouts, written descriptions etc.
- Design support for busy designers in the area of drawing layouts using the 2020 software
- Selling of small add on jobs to existing customers to assist the designer on existing accounts
- Possible showroom coverage to handle retail showroom traffic during vacations and summer months
- Administration work as assigned
- Attending training in certain areas of the company that may not involve the design process

Field Service Technician Carp, Ontario
The primary focus of this role is to complete service requests effectively and efficiently per the daily schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Field Service Repairs
- pick up service parts and paperwork at Carp Depot each morning and ensure parts are complete before leaving Depot
- attend appointments at specified locations and times as per daily schedule
- complete repairs to DCC quality standards and customer requirements
- report completion to service manager and if time permits, assist other field technicians
- Paperwork Completion
- For any items completed on service reports have customer sign to acknowledge their acceptance of that particular service item or all items on the service report.
- For all retail clients with completed service, present invoice and collect payment of final amount owing.

- Complete all return service reports daily utilizing catalogue codes and proper terminology.

Assistant Field Service Technician Carp, Ontario
The primary focus of this role is to assist the field service technicians in completing service requests effectively and efficiently per the daily schedule.
Responsibilities:

- On occasion, may be required to drive company van to pick up parts and/or additional supplies

Delivery Driver Renfrew, Ontario
The Delivery Driver, under the direction of the Delivery Lead, will work closely with the other drivers, delivery assistants and the installation coordinator to ensure safe, damage free and on time delivery of material.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport materials and product to and from specified destinations such as clients, dealers, builder locations and offices, between the Pembroke and Ottawa as well as outlying areas.
- Load completed orders and arrange them in the truck by order of daily delivery schedule.
- Unload product from delivery trucks verifying paperwork against shipments to ensure accuracy and signoff.
- Maintain a timely schedule and make all deliveries as planned.
- Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
- Turn in payment received from deliveries.
- Keep receipts for gas, maintenance and any other services performed on the truck.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Maintain records such as vehicle logs in accordance with regulations.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
- Use proper personal protective equipment while on sites, around all vehicles and equipment.

The Warehouse Assistant will provide ongoing support in the daily delivery and warehousing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Unload goods at warehouse location
- Assemble individually wrapped cabinets into pallets by work order
- Operate pallet wrapper to wrap entire skid for protection during shipment
- Operate forklift as necessary
- Add skids to storage racking for future delivery
- May help load delivery vehicle as per established daily delivery schedule

Electro-Mechanical Technician Renfrew, Ontario
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day maintenance of the facilities, including the cleanliness and upkeep of building repairs and maintenance to all equipment in the building.
Responsibilities:
- Under minimal supervision, performs general carpentry and plumbing, maintenance, repair, and remodeling projects.
- Assists in the repair and/or installation of various items, systems and/or components.
- Primary focus will be the finishing department.
- Performs routine and long-term preventative maintenance on building systems and machinery to keep them at optimum operating levels.
- Supports the maintenance work order control process, maintains records and retrieves data related to work performed by using computerized record-keeping systems.

ERP Support Specialist Renfrew, Ontario
Deslaurier is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fulfill the role of ERP Support Specialist. The Specialist will report directly to the IT Manager and the President of Deslaurier Custom Cabinets. The role will be largely based out of our Renfrew location, with time required at our Ottawa location and remotely as well. The successful candidate must be a task driven, independent and forward-thinking individual who will move work forward without constant supervision or direction. They must be highly IT minded with a strong focus/background in SQL programming and database management. The position will revolve around Deslaurier’s ERP implementation and support thereof but will encompass miscellaneous IT related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- University degree or college diploma in a related field and/or proven demonstrated experience.
- Highly proficient in SQL programming, experience writing actions and stored procedures.
- Ability to write, edit, test, validate, document, and implement SQL code.
- Experience with MSSMS platform.
- Experience with and proficient in Microsoft Report Builder.
- Strong understanding of networking and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to write documentation, tutorials and/or training materials.
